CCTV Pipeline Camera Inspection
GatorCam4 by Radiodetection

Camera Pipeline Inspection is a nondestructive testing method used to examine and evaluate pipes. CCTV pipe inspections play a crucial role in assessing the condition of pipelines and drainage systems. Concrete Imaging utilizes the GatorCam 4 by Radiodetection for this purpose.
The GatorCam 4 is a pushrod system that captures high-quality digital video and images while allowing users to view the footage live. Additionally, the footage can be manipulated in real time to provide optimal results. At the end of the project, all videos and images can be easily uploaded to a USB flash drive. The camera is compatible with 1-inch or 2-inch camera heads, and the 2-inch camera is self-leveling, which helps keep the video upright during inspections. The system comes with 200 feet of cable; however, longer runs may be challenging due to multiple bends in the pipeline.
According to the manufacturer's website, Radiodetection has developed a flexible plumbing system designed to navigate through wastewater systems, overcoming most traps (from 2 inches/50 mm) and bends (from 1¼ inches/32 mm) found in both commercial and residential properties. Featuring a built-in flexible sonde, this system enables precise pinpointing of the camera's position. The new 100-foot (30 m) reel is an ideal tool for inspecting smaller diameter plumbing.
The GatorCam 4 pushrod systems are equipped with a choice of ultra-durable, high-resolution cameras made from 303 stainless steel. These cameras can withstand up to 11 bar of pressure, which is equivalent to operating at a depth of 330 feet (100 m) underwater. Available in 1-inch (25 mm) and 2-inch (50 mm) models, they feature focusable lenses with significantly improved video resolution and the latest generation of ultra-bright white LEDs, providing clear and detailed images in various pipe conditions.
The GatorCam system controllers automatically organize jobs by client, site, and survey, simplifying the process of reporting and reviewing videos, photos, and observations. The pre-installed comprehensive and customizable reporting system allows for quick entry of observations on-site and can produce SEWER.DAT report files without needing to connect to a computer.
The new Flexisight™ Manager software is an ideal PC companion for the GatorCam range, enabling operators to import, store, and manage their digital inspection data. Furthermore, comprehensive reports can be created featuring the operator’s company branding, pipe graphics, descriptions, and color-coded defect grading.
